!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is one of my favorite single-day driving-trip destinations, and at least once a year I would get inspired to look up the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! to see if it is suitable to visit the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . What I am looking for is a low of 1.2m or less, that happens on a weekend and also around noon, to account for my travelling time.
All of these came together on 2017-07-15, and here are the pictures .
Nearly a year later, I brought my sister’s family along with their new-to-them gen-1 R8 V10 on a similar trip, when once again all the stars aligned again. You can see those pictures here:

This caught my eye on the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , as I left !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ... so I pulled over for a quick picture. Only after some Google searches after I got home, did I find out that this is actually !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! :
I pulled into !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! just as the sailing pulled away, so I had the dubious honour of being Number One! With the lot all to myself, I decided to might as well get some more pictures:

The best riding / driving road in Southern BC as ranked by Destination Highways is called DH1 . The road is not specifically located or named on the website, because obviously they prefer that you buy the book. I will “out” it here, though, because it is pertinent to this post: It is BC-3A between the Town of Creston and the Kootenay Lake Ferry (which, as part of the highway system, is treated like a “bridge” and thus free of charge; it is reputed to be the longest such ferry trip in the world ) .
Since the road STARTS from the ferry terminal, then if you can finangle your way to the front of the ferry off-ramp, you can be pretty sure that the road ahead of you will be absolutely clear!
I have only done it a couple of times, and never with the Cadillac... because it is at least 2 days just to get there, so can only be done in a long weekend. Writing this post and digging up my old photos, though, now I really want to. Nrrrggghhh.

Pick any road in the Koots, enjoy.
ps. rather than trying to wrangle to the front;
a better idea is to go get an ice cream in Crawford Bay and wait 20 minutes, then go. You will be between ferries and see no traffic.
