Saw a car hauler carrying some race-prepped cars, headed toward COTA, that somehow managed to veer off into the center median at Hwy 71 and Kellam Rd. Looks like maybe the driver got cut off, and he had to make an evasive maneuver. Everything looked like it was undamaged, but it may be awhile before the hauler can be extracted.

FWIW, I saw two Miatas and an E30 on the upper deck, and I think another Miata or two on the lower deck.

Hope it wasn’t any of you, and if so, I hope everything works out.

Problems like these are why some truck drivers are being told to avoid evasive maneuvers in these situations and to equip a dash camera. But that’s often not the best course because there’s a scam going on involving immigrants where they take plates off their car, load it up with people, and then brake chec k a semi for insurance money.

That sc am has been going on for years, perpetrated by full-fledged citizens. The “ no-plate car full of immigrants” is a subtle twist on an old scam.
