Oppo- my mower is on its way out(hard restarts constantly, motor is making some ticking noises and is very old, its a hand me downx2) and I’m looking into all my options. I could also use my own pressure washer (currently borrow my parents that are 2.5 hours away) and I’ve been debating my snowblower as I have driveway space for ~14 cars (2 in a front “turnaround” from a PO who was handicapped), the other 12ish in the driveway that wraps around to the garage. I did some math this morning and figured out i can get the troybilt flex with those three attachments for the same/less a similar separate models (if i go with a 28" mower). Also, if anyone has it and has thoughts id appreciate that too!

Looks fairly durable, all steel frame, the interface is similar to a Lovejoy flex coupling... should all hold up and work okay, at a first glance, and in some respects it’s more commercial grade than a lot of other things you’d be looking at. I’m not necessarily a fan of MULTIPURPOSE UBER ALLES but it looks like it’s handled competently, and if a module breaks, it shouldn’t be too bad to get fixed, as real commercial TroyBilt stuff stays supported for decades (gold standard - “Pony” and “Horse” tillers).

I’d be worried it’s a jack of all trades, master of none kind of deal. But then again, I love my Stihl Kombi system trimmer/blower/edger/hedge clipper. One motor head to run them all. But this looks like it might be a bit bulky for a mower or snow blower, and an electric power washer is about as good as a gas one, I hardly use my gas one, but would likely break out an electric if I had it handy. Also the blower may or may not be worthwhile for you, might be overkill unless you have a huge lot and a bunch of trees.

I’ve been using a single stage toro 21” snowblower for the past 10 years, it’s been perfect for Detroit snowfalls.  It will handle up to 6-8” heavy snow, and easily a foot of the lighter “dryer” snow.  It’s never left me wanting for a big auger two stage beast.  So, I’d call the Troy bilt a bit overkill.

Yeah, most reviews are good and its seems well constructed. I’m just not usually all about the multiple purpose things, but this actually makes sense as you really arent mowing and snowblowing at the same t ime.

Lawn mower: Get a honda.

Power washer: doesn’t really matter just don’t get an electric one.

For a snow blower I did get a standard troy built and am really happy with it. I can tell that it is not as high quality as my honda products though. I would also be concerned about the jack of all trades master of none issue. If the base engine drive unit goes out you are screwed and will have to buy a new one or repair for a large sum of monies.

Yeah, my yard is an awkward size ~1/3 acre of mowing, so it typically takes me 2 hours to mow , so a bigger deck would be nice. I also dont have any major landscaping to get under/around so it shouldn’t be too bad for that. Reviews are mostly posi tive with most issues being around initial setup. I know nothing about snow blowers/stages, just that i’d prefer metal blades

If you can get by with a smaller mower, you can get a mower, blower, and pressure washer for well under $1,300. But if you need the bigger size, then it looks like a good deal. I’ve always had good luck with Toro, and it seems they’ve gone all in on this design, meaning support should continue.

I can get by on a smaller mower, however, the added size (and taking up less space in the shed) would be a huge plus. I wish somewhere had it in stock so i could see it in person.

The reduced space is a big one. I’m looking into getting a shed, due to the amount of shit in my garage, and i’ve already tetris’d the hell out of it.

I’d be lying if I said you haven’t gotten my attention on this.

The snowblower thing is a single stage is a smaller thrower, it only spins the augur and that throws the snow out the chute. The two stage has two augers. One to gather the snow, and one to send it out the chute. You can handle bigger snowfalls with the two stage, but for me, the single stage works great. But if we get more than a foot of heavy snow, it’s a slow go. Whereas a two stage would walk right through it. But it’s a bit overkill for a 3” snowfall. I can blow my drive and a neighbors before the guy down the street gets his done with his big blower. But when it’s real deep, I have to take it slower.

But if the mower setup works for you and gets you a bigger cutting area, then it’s not a bad deal. You can buy the other attachments as needed.

I’ve done that with the Stihl Kombi system I have.  Every year I’d get a new attachment until I had the ones I wanted.

Pretty sure you could buy a nice slightly used riding mower, large snowblower, and a pressure washer for less than that.

Splurge a little.  Used commercial walk behind mower and three very nice snow shovels.  Overkill in both cases.

My garage barely fits a car, but my shed houses my camping stuff, kayak, smoker, so the smaller the footprint the better

I had a hand me down riding mower for a few weeks but my yard has too many broken up/small areas to make it any easier.

I’d prefer new with a warranty , i’ve been bouncing around between used mowers the last 5 years and its been annoying dealing with all the small issues.

Then a nice push mower, large snowblower, and a nice pressure washer. Should be able to pick up a very nice one of each for far less than this system costs.

Pricing it out, a 28" mower, nice snowblower and a nice pressure washer (same stats as the product) were actually 200 more than this system.

You’re looking new.

You can likely get something a year or 2 old in great condition for far less.

You also gotta figure this system will wear out faster/need work sooner as you have one piece doing the work of 3 pieces.
