Total time: 3 hours. Why, Toyota? Why?

Reason for replacement is the general ratty condition of the OEM housings and this condensation. It was puddling up in the bottom of the housing which— spoiler alert— is where the HID ballasts go. Mine were swimming and I was a bit freaked out by high voltage expensive as all fuck ballasts living in a pineapple under the sea.

Yeah they’re perfectly fine right up until they aren’t any more. I really want some OEM 17" wheels and some spacers for DANK FITMENT YO. These 16s just kinda look goofy.

Looks fantastic! I think the tail lights in red film would look amazing against the black paint.

The lexus emblem looks out of place as it sits. Needs to be dipped a much darker grey

S c’s the same way(probably most modern cars) , high beams and headlights are pinned behind the bumper cover.

Are those mirrors going to stay silver?

It’s actually copper. I need to find a nice bronze color to do the wheels and badges but it’s difficult to find in stores.

Not sure. I might give them some darker graphite paint.

Replacing the HID bulbs in my car requires removing the front bumper, and then the headlight housing, it’s the worst.

They don't look bad in graphite, I hadn't realized that you painted them in the upper photos

Thanks! I am a fan. It’s definitely a unique accent that isn’t totally tasteless.

They go well on a black car, makes the headlight fit in a bit better for sure.

Hell yes, black chrome/polished headlight housings are a clear improvement over bright chrome! Did it to the Miata and I don’t regret it...I regret my laziness to not re-aim the driver’s side headlight but, eh, I’ll do it when bugs aren’t trying to kill me.
