It’s funny. I expected a totally toned down, more... elegant? No, professional seeming Doug, to appeal to upper classes. The Doug was turned down, but not as far as I expected . Maybe like a 7 instead of the typical 11.

I would have thought there would be only two ways to go, either maximum  Doug to play to his public persona, or put on some pants and comb his hair and be serious. This in between seems kind of weird.

Here’s why I respect Doug a lot.

I’m the same way. I don’t dress up when I drive a car for review. Honestly I’m ratchet lol. I show up in And1 shorts and a 1320 video shirt. It’s just who I am. I dress up all week, so I appreciate his staying true to himself persona.

He’s a genuine guy too. He’s given me some advice a few times and I appreciate anytime someone famous like Doug or Brad (Jalopnik writer and prior Co-Worker) takes time out of their day to actually remember where they came from. Both guys are class acts.

I am guessing he did this video at the same time as the other two videos (about the Rolls and the Lambo) on his own channel. Maybe it is the dealer’s price for him to get access.

Yeah. It’s like he was mentally repressing himself, like he knew he was trying to sell a pair of very up-market vehicles to the sort of person who wouldn’t think twice about ruining his reputation if they were displeased, but he was being paid to be himself.
