Yesterday I went on a short hike off of UT-199 since it was close by and I wanted to get out and enjoy some nature. There wasn’t really a trail where I was hiking but it was still fun nonetheless. I also finally got around to pulling some video from my dash cam and uploading them. So here are some media!
Photos from the hike:

Driving UT-199 to Tooele, UT:
Driving on some dirt roads in Utah:
And I am still trying to figure out what sort of hiking I am doing this weekend. I have Saturday and Sunday to go on an adventure somewhere and work doesnt start until around 1800 on Monday night. So I will have plenty of time to do a nice long hike, camp overnight, hike some more and make my way back to the hotel late Sunday.

I'll recommend it again, go drive Timpanogos. There are places to hike there too, and it's some of my favorite scenery in Utah.

Excellent suggestion, I will definitely add it to my route. Right now my plan is:
- Disc Golf at Solitude on Saturday morning
- Hike to Lake Desolation Saturday afternoon
- Camp at Spruces Campground Saturday night
- Drive to Little Cottonwood Canyon on Sunday morning
- Hike to Red Pine Lake Sunday
- Drive to Timpanogos Sunday afternoon
- Drive the whole Alpine Loop Scenic Bypass
- Head back to hotel Sunday night
I might just skip the hike in Little Cottonwood if there is something more interesting in the Timpanogos.

I don’t remember that road being that great. Interesting.
Usually my preference was/is UT-150 out of Kamas (High Uintas) , UT-35 out of Francis (below the High Uintas) , and UT-92 out of Alpine (aka The Alpine Loop).

Do the High Uintas while you’re up that way.

Alpine loop was pretty sketch lol. Idk if I would go there for the purpose of driving. Just because of how narrow it was and the dumb people oncoming.

Oh that road isn't awesome for the driving, it's awesome for the views.
