So I was sent to a show about private jets, helicopters... So I went to the San Jose Airport and these were there. I also saw a Piaggio Avanti down the way but it was too far and half blocked to take a pic, unmistakable nose on that one. I forget what this Air Force people mover is, any planelopnik jalops know?
CRV recently went to burning man I gather....

That's a Sabreliner. Pretty rare sight nowadays.

I just looked up the tail number, T-39A Sabreliner, thanks! My dad is a pilot, he would have known right away. Looked in perfect shape.

The Sabreliner got its name from the shape of its wings and tail, which resembled those of the F-86 Sabre. Not surprising, since they were both made by North American.

My favorites are the Nasa and Air Force Learjets

They had a video of it doing some serious maneuvers.

Yep, my gut said Sabreliner. It’s been a looooong time since I’ve seen one.

There are certain universal design elements that get repeated, like the B-47’s original wing sweep angle (stolen almost directly from captured German designs, I hear)
