The thing I liked about the two major mustaches of my youth, Burt and Tom Selleck, is that they always seemed to be able to laugh at themselves. That might have just been Selleck’s onscreen persona but I think that was Burt’s personality onscreen and off. He was also a hell of an actor when it was called for.
