And scratch Motus Motorcycles off the list. Shut their doors last week.
I guess a $31,000 - $37,000 motorcycle that used a 17 00cc pushrod four cylinder wasn’t as attractive as once thought...
The bikes didn’t do much for me, but bummer for the folks that just lost their jobs.......

incredible pratt&miller engine though. Its like half of a Corvette LeMans engine and shrunk.

Yeah— lot of hopes back when
that they’d sell it as a crate motor.. Oh well....

Damn. I really thought they had the right idea making an American bike that wasn’t a Harley copy. The motorcycle business is tough for the big boys much less the startups.

Ehhh... a $30k + motorcycle is a big ask... even
for an established company! I heard
motus bikes didn’t even have any electronics/traction control etc
.. Seems to me that the only bikes in that price range are tarted-
up cruisers with all bells and whistles.... tough to compete in that price range with a bare-bones bike (with al
most
zero dealer support). But yeah, a shame none the less.

Yeah all the money was in the engine plus like a lot of startups they were basically buying a lot of stuff like forks, shocks, and controls off the shelf which isn’t a bad thing but it drives the price up. Granted that probably made more sense than paying for their own tooling at their volumes but still.

I didn’t even know they existed.
But yeah... at that price point, they just might be a hard sell.
