I'm living the Oppo life now with too many cars

Hi Oppo. Well...many moons later I now have a 2012 Ford Focus, a 2010 Mustang, a 1992 Tempo and now a 2014 Caravan that I just picked up for the wife. Are Caravan’s great cars? No. Are they practical as all get out? Yes.

I guess we’re the annoying neighbours now with cars everywhere....

4 cars...not a single off road parking space. That is decision making at it’s finest.

N o off street parking at all?  Clearly not a very oppo friendly neighborhood!   (If you take out all those pesky trees, you ought be be able to fit three, maybe four cars in the strip between the sidewalk and the street.)

When the street sweepers come, I usually go up the corner curb cut and cram as many cars as I can on my lawn.  The city in it’s infinite wisdom denied our application for a driveway...

Oh didn’t know an OPPO had a tempo. I had a 92 and 93 2 door 5 speed as my 1st and 2nd car waaaaaay back in 19 98. Nostalgia.. We just sold our 2009 caravan was a good beast. Everything is super easy to work on. Front brake job can be done in under an hour with basic hand tools. It won't dissapoint.

It’s pretty meh with the autotragic. Ford used a 3 speed because the V6 Tempo was just a place holder until the Mondeo- er... Contour came along. At freeway speeds the V6 auto Tempo could really drink gas. Throw the 5 speed manual at it, though, and it suddenly becomes good. If I ever happened upon a V6 manual Tempo coupe, I'd have to have it.

My only experience with it was in an 03 Taurus, mated to a 4-speed auto.

It was ungodly slow, even after heavily modifying it in an attempt to get at least decent power out of it. It was horrible on gas and sounded as if it was going to eat itself when pushed hard.

It’s better than an auto tempo 4, but man that transmission is just tragic.  It’s an auto sadly.

Aw. Yeah, that transmission is pretty terrible. If mine were a 5 speed, I probably would have hung on longer.

I’m the guy with a slight problem involving 90s Mopars . Generally 1st/2nd generation minivans , but I trail sometimes ;)

About the bench question: We’ve been searching for one with the center bench for a while now, every single one in a 200mi radius of here has the stupid captains chairs in the middle row!
