Set fire to your blinker fluid in the meantime!

Two presumably identical bu lbs of presumably the same age, installed on the same car and subject to the same conditions, failed at roughly the same time? *shocked face*

Look for led h4s with good heat dissipation and a resistor .

One of the first things I did when I got my car a few months ago was convert almost all the front lighting to LED. I made sure to research beam pattern, color temperature, and fitment requirements. It’s one of the best (and on a first-gen Volvo XC90 one of the easiest) modifications I’ve done to any car I’ve owned or worked on. Especially because I use the feature every time I drive (DRLs are dumb, automatic headlamps are smart) and my commute happens in the 6AM and 6PM hours on weekdays, it makes a massive difference to my peace of mind driving the car. Especially since I live in an area with lots of early-morning outdoor athletes and deer.

Admittedly it’s not for everyone: my dad appreciates the brightness and fill of LEDs, but even with yellower (“soft white”) temperatures he says they bother his eyes, I suspect due to the somewhat “unseen” flickering and/or sharp edges of the beam patterns.
