Also, I let my Mom drive it. I’ve never seen her smile because of a car, but I have now.

She then let out a bad Oppo idea about getting a used older generation one , and selling her car to save a little money . I shot that one down quick.

Nope. It’s pretty quick, but it’s pretty dull otherwise. It’s also not very comfortable for what it is.  It’s a little more comfortable than the GTI, but not by much.

Nope, it was 97 yesterday and the car was parked in the sun, so it peeled right off.

It’s on there for a reason, the saleman said something that makes sense. He said “I know you are going to take it right off when you get home, but I would leave it on for a few days until your tag transfers.” Which isn’t a horrible idea, so I’ll give it a week or so.

I just replaced a second set of plates due to salt corrosion delaminating the paint on the back one . The front plate was immaculate though as it was always under a clear plastic dealer cover . I just looked on weathertec and holee shit they have covers from $30 each up $160 (real carbon fiber brah ). I was thinking like $30 for 4....

But... why leave the dealer with the sticker still on the car? Dealers have detail bays and will remove the stickers if you ask, nay, DEMAND that it be removed. If you care enough to remove the sticker yourself, you can certainly have the dealer do it for you.

0.2% of the time it is being driven, I might miss it. But the rest of the time, the DSG is so much better. Plus, the GTI’s manual isn’t great.
