My wife requested a place to charge phones and whatnot. I thought that was a capital idea. The outlets are just temp units. When everything is wrapped up, I’ll put nice new ones with USB ports in.
I’m currently waiting for the countertop guy to come measure for the granite. I decided to install the false door/ drawer panels on the end while I waited.
Update:
Excuse me while I brag for a moment. The countertop guy just left, after taking about a billion measurements. He apologized for it taking so long. I told him it was no big deal, I knew nothing was straight or square. He said, “No, the cabinets are installed really well. They’re straight, square, and level. It’s the old walls that are way out of whack.”
He then asked me who made the cabinets. I proudly told him that I did. He held out his hand to shake mine and said, “You did a really good job. These are beautiful.”
:D

My house is old enough that each room might only have like two outlets, so naturally we have to use a lot of power strips. I went through last year and replaced all of them with ones that have USB ports on them and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

I actually don't care for wireless charging. I had it a couple phones ago.

I ’ve long been a skeptic towards permanently-mounted USB outlets. But there are so many devices that use them now, I can totally see the utility .

These will be my first time using them, but I think they'll be really useful. I'm probably going to swap the outlets next to out bed with USB outlets as well.

Where there was a single outlet in our kitchen I replaced it with this.
Wall Power Strip EZOPower 6 AC Outlet Mount Plate Surge Charge Protector with 2 USB Charger Ports 2.4A (UL Certified) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JAM2SP4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ijUIBb4WKW1N2
It ads 4 more outlets, 2 USB ports, and is surge protected. Also had a green light that is enough of a night light. Just remove face plate and screw on this cover. I know down low you have dual outlets so this wouldn’t work there, but we put ours to the right of the sink. At $14.99 it’s about same price as just the usb outlet.
