Does anyone want to transport this from Dayton to Pittsburgh for me? Or do any other Oppos want a Dauphine located near Dayton, OH?
[My wife really wants a dog or another tattoo, so I get a car and she gets what she wants. I am messaging the seller to try and get more information. I will be able to get a replacement title for it in PA.]

That patina is awesome!
Would you try and find an original engine for it or swap it?

I have an Isuzu G180Z engine. At the moment I would put that in it.

Ok, I just saw this post, right after publishing a post with a Dauphine as the lead photo - what are the odds of that????

Will getting a title based off an out of state bill of sale be an issue in PA? Ohio won’t issue any titles off a bill of sale and doesn’t offer bonded titles.
I’m near Dayton if you need someone to take a look. Just let me know what if anything specific you’d want checked.

Good thinking. I know a reconstructed or replacement title is possible, but I don't know the restricitons. I will have to look that up tomorrow.

If you get it, look up this guy in Ohio. He has everything and is super helpful. He was great when I had my Caravelle but he specializes in restoring Dauphines

Also you can download a service manual as part of you membership to the Renault owners club of America which is $25 for the year I think

Thanks. I need to save his page on my phone and home computer. The car was actually posted as a comment to his Facebook page. I really want to get it, but I have too many projects. I think I am trying to talk myself out of it?

This would be easy to tow then. If I am remembering right a Dauphine is about 1,600 lbs.

Well the only reason the French navy floats is because the ships were not made by Renault. I live in the rust belt too and the Caravelle I bought was almost rusted in half so inspect it carefully

Lol
The Caravelle is really cool too. I almost bought one on ebay 2 years ago but did not have the money to ship it.

They are unique. It just turned into more of a project than I wanted. It’s not my dream car, just a cool car I couldn’t pass up
