It should go without saying that the SS is one of the most atrocious car designs against humanity. However, I can’t say that the V6 and T urbo 4 models looks bad. Comparing the previous to the new side-by-side though...

The way the front end shrinks the headlights and the smile-shaped black on the lower half makes the one on the left
look drunk.

I think the V6/Turbo looks better strictly comparing it to the SS. It’s more “conventional”
Also, if you look at a Black 2019 SS, there is a chance the atrocious grill/vents can get faded into the bodywork. Have to see real world photos to confirm.
vs. contrasting colors

It does clean it up a bit and feels less of an angry scream than the current one.
Kind of shrinks the front a bit too

this blade shit needs to stop. Chevy really knows how to take a bad design feature and puke it all over the line up

Gee sure wish they’d just offer the option to paint it body colored.

V6 6-speed RS and Sport packages is the right configuration for the street, anyway.
V8 SS and above are for either car shows or track days, and praying not to follow along with Mustangs as they careen out of control when leaving said events.
Sadly, the Mustang doesn’t have that naturally aspirated sweet spot, and even previously, the V6 didn’t have the sport package.
Sadly, the Challenger isn’t light enough for the V6 to be as effective... although the base V8 RT is not too much of a handful.
Sadly, the Nissan 370Z is comparatively ancient, and horrifically ugly in comparison... but would be a compelling alternative if it was handsome and had it’s due design and engineering upkeep.
Sadly, Supra is going to be much more expensive, and also shaping up to be horrifically ugly.
Sadly, Infiniti Q-whatever is mostly a non-consideration, and Lexus RC is also horrifically ugly, heavy, and inconsequential.
Caddy ATS... may as well get the Alpha-platform-mate Camaro, especially if considering a convertible top. (solves the visibility problem... drop the roof.)
