Tried Google, CVN. Couldn’t find information on body panel and header frame mounting. I need to acquire this information so I can plan to get the body of my car realigned.

Can oppo help?

The official factory service manual might have that. Not that I would know - the FoMoCo service manuals I have with frame/etc. dimensions are over 50 years old, so...

So I didn’t understand what exactly you were looking for, and after skimming over your previous thread about tires out of place, you’re diving down the wrong rabbit hole, I’m guessing .

The replies suggesting that the factory tolerances on those cars were “forgiving” are pretty accurate. Add to that how many years of age, and how many hundred thousand miles? Things of both the body and suspension varieties will have moved.

Knowing all this, and assuming you still want to go chasing perfect body/frame/wheel/suspension alignment: start with the frame and work your way out. Find a bodyshop to measure the frame and rear axle tracking , and ensure both are square. Once the frame is set, it’s suspension time. Freshen up bushings/replace worn components, and get an alignment. Once thats done , loosen body mounts and drag body/front end (bribe friends with beer) where you want it.

If it were my car, I’d get the suspension squared away, and only bother with the frame check if the shop couldn’t get a good alignment, or if the car is tracking poorly after a good reading alignment.

Okay, a good order of steps. I'll get in touch with a few shops and see if they're able to do a measure on the frame. Thanks.
