Yup. It does pretty well out there. Base 2018 991.2 Carrera, PDK/Sport Chrono/Sport Exhaust and not much else. Was intended to be my daily driver...but it is just so fun on track, I can’t stop taking it back (my track car just sits in the garage now -_-). Have run it hard on days with ambient temp exceeding 90*F, and its rock solid.
Car is bone stock except for ATE brake fluid.

Using it right -nice!

Must be nice to have some horsepower on the track lol. My Miata has done great on the track so far but it's always hilarious getting passed like I'm standing still while at full throttle. Plus not having 17 years and 200k miles on some parts of the car must be nice too.

I’d be happy to take the Cayman off your hands... =)

Hahaha...well, it’ll be available for sale soon...will hopefully be a Boxster Spyder owner in 2019 :)

Haha well my original track car was a 1999 Honda Prelude, so I get it! Yes the 911 is a very different car to drive on track than my previous Prelude, WRX and Cayman...it’s kinda weird to just point the nose past the apex and floor it everywhere...
Kinda liking this whole “rear engine” thing :)

Oh yes...
Hoping we actually see some depreciation on the GT4 when the next gen drops!

Haha I am sure there will be. I have had a deposit down for the Spyder for over a year...if it comes out with anything other than an NA H6, I am keeping my Cayman forever...

How was the wrx as a track car? I have an STi also but id worry about expensive things breaking on that car. Although I suppose tracking a 911 would give you the same worries.

The WRX was a fun car, but mine had some temperature management issues. I had a 2013 hatch that had typical bolt-ons and Cobb “Stage 2" software. It had some alignment trickery and brake upgrades for the track. I always found that on a longer track day (more than 4 x 20min sessions), the car had trouble shedding heat (both from the oil and the brakes). Might’ve just been my car, dunno...
As for the 911, its bone stock and seems incredibly robust. I was certainly nervous tracking a turbocharged car after my WRX experience, but this thing stays rock solid...for example, I’ve done 2 “open track” days in this car (track open for continuous use up to 3 hrs). Longest session I’ve done was 50 minutes straight with 90*F ambient temp...oil temp stayed solid. And I wasn’t exactly coasting around the track...

Temp issues are no Bueno to me! When I went to Buttonwillow last month it was a high of about 105 that day. Soooo many people left early due to overheating. My Miata was perfectly fine to keep going all day. My body on the other hand was shredded by that heat even with water, Gatorade, and food. I've yet to do a track day with temperate conditions lol.

LOL it doesn’t get as bad here in Chicagoland...
But I hear you on the bodily wear and tear...I swear I drank 4 20oz bottles of water and didn’t go to the bathroom once...
