Was the only person who g ot zero deductions on the riding portion and aced the written. I’m trying to hold myself to not buy a bike until I pass my Architectural Registration Exams so I can become an licensed Architect.

Counterpoint: The sooner you get a bike, the sooner you can practice control and maneuvering on it, and the younger you are when you get those skills down, the more second-nature they will be.

btw I have no idea what your timeline is for acquiring your architectural license, so if it’s like within a few months, disregard

sell car, buy bike.
I’m around $200 better off per month riding my bike than I am driving the car. (not counting the $1500 or so on gear I had to buy)

A guy I was stationed with had a Honda Hurricane 600 so I tend to think of that as the ultimate 80s Honda. He ended up hitting a goat with his, and then the farmer sued him. Good times.

6 months at best to complete the exams, which is what I’m counting. I also need 1800 more hours, but I’ll get those easily, so I’m not holding out on the motorcycle for those.

That is a very clean example. Personally I’d lose the fairings and go with a mid-80's CB700SC Nighthawk S ( or if life was really smiling on me the Canadian version with 750cc) .

Yup, this. I haven’t been on a bike since I passed the BMV BRS course a month and a half ago. When I get one I fully intend to either retake it or take the returning riders course so I can refamiliarize my self before hitting the road.
