Now that my Z3 coupe is back in running shape I’m looking to get a better shift knob for it. The car has a short shift kit and has always felt a little off with the stock shift knob. I’m thinking of getting this tall shift knob from condor but am open to any interesting options y’all have.

Ha ve you driven it without the short shift kit installed? The only car I have ever driven with a short shift kit felt very odd compared to the regular set up. Just a thought!

I’ve got this knob in my e28 with z3 short shifter kit. https://store.blackforestindustries.com/bfiheweshkng.html
and this one https://store.blackforestindustries.com/bfiheweshknb1.html in my e30 with short shifter kit.
Love both, but love the GSA in the e28 more just because of the aesthetic.
If you’re interested in the second link I’d be willing to sell you mine for cheap and then just buy a GSA for my e30 too.

I’ve got an SSK in the M3 and swapped the stock knob for the weighted one from the ZCP, it’s perfect.

I believe it’s Delrin? Could lead to a good excuse to buy some nice vintage style driving gloves haha

I’ve been looking at some from Raceseng after a fellow oppo (who’s handle I can’t remember right now, sorry!) posted one. These are HEAVY with many over them weighing over 1 LB. I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve had a short shifter for a while in my A4 but still feel like its missing something.

Yep, it’s a Delrin outer with a steel weight inside. I liked the weighted Delrin shifter I had on my RX8 with the SSK.
Looks like a nice knob, I’d buy it. You’ve also rekindled my desire to own a clown shoe.

Looks good but I like this one because they fit an oem style logo for the top of the shifter. I like having a bmw specific logo, even if it is an aftermarket knob

I probably will buy it, just not yet. First I have to figure out the new cel that is most likely either ccv needing replacement or a leak somewhere in the maf boot
