55. Presume a typo on your end? Think it’s a Chevy 150 from the lack of chrome.

Apparently I’m wrong - I think the 150 didn’t get the sweep spear on the rear door/ quarter that year so maybe it’s a 210?

I’ve always preferred the 55 over the 57 because it has a lot less chrome and a cleaner grill design. But I don’t think the 55 Bel Air is bad.

Yeah I think you’re right.

The lack of chrome and dog dishes make this car look great - along with the dark solid color. With an LS or built SBC, discs, and a manual I’d drive the hell out of this thing.

That’s right, 150 was the lowline with no chrome.

I'm partial to the '56s myself, to me, it seems like the sweet spot blend of the best attributes of the other two years.

My dad agrees with you and I have to say that I do like the 56's side trim with that curve on the rear quarter .

The pic I saw said 1944

But I’m not that good with American cars so I wouldn’t know when I’m wrong

Also, good luck finding a 1944 Chevrolet - there’s no such thing!  Or any other 1943-45 American made car, really.
