I have never been very interested in trucks but I have an irrational want for this thing, in that blue. No, I wont take it off road, tow anything ever and the most I’ll haul will be mulch from Home Depot but I needs it! I don’t even mind the diesel.
I am liking even the regular R anger. Hope the Gas engine’s specs is a good one for both that and the Raptor, if they put one in.

Cinema ad...and it sells it to me not at all.
If I was dumb enough to want a Ranger in the first place then I’d get the version with the Raptor driveline and the standard suspension which could be setup for the low range and towing work I would normally do.
However, I wouldn’t buy a Ranger because I can’t see out of them (despite being 6 foot tall) well enough to see what’s going on around me, they aren’t very durable in an off road life (squeaks, rattles, bits falling off) and, abive all, The Boss drives them frequently as they are in her fleet but she can’t stand them... because she's 6'2 and can't see out of them either.

So if you were dumb enough to want a Ranger, you just want the normal work truck suspension? Why even bring up the Raptor at all? It’s built to go off road. When the F150 Raptor came out in 2009 it just had the standard 5.4 V8 because power barely matters in the environ ment these are built for. That’s like saying “If I were dumb enough to want a BMW, I’d want a regular 3 series with the M3's engine. The M3 rides way too rough for me - if I could even see out of it !”

Note that they don’t keep the angle at 1:30 to show just how violent that landing is to the truck...

I don’t need the Raptor’s suspension (I’m not convinced many Australians do but hey) ...it is set up for fast open dirt and a reduced payload.
My off road environment is steep, rocky and narrow trails and I have a typically higher payload requirement than what the Raptor offers.
Given I can get a Ranger dual cab 4x4 with the Raptor engine & gearbox and a more appropriate suspension set up for my needs for twenty grand less than the Raptor...then why wouldn’t I?
