Gas, on, pans on, now to make a small mess.
Hash browns
Grated cheese
Minced beef in a mildly spicey Me xican sauce with pe ppers
More grated cheese
Fried diced panchetta
Om nom nom
and a pint or two of McEwans Export.
I’ve a VW Touran to clean in two hours.
Here she is from a previous clean. The owner just wants an exterior clean.

Depending on how bad the stain is, a wet’dry vacuum is a great accessory.
I use Valet Pro Enzyme Odour Eater. It’s a cleaner and anti bacterial which both kills bacteria b ut also removes the food source to stop it coming back.
But a good all purpose cleaner will do the job.
First vacuum the area and access how bad the stain is.
Try a bit of cleaner on a cloth and rub into the area to see if it’ll shift, half the time it’ll come straight off with no mess or fuss.
If no joy, try gently running a stiff nylon brush back and forward, this can often be enough to break up the stain on the fibres of the cloth seats then vacuum again.
If these two above methods aren’t doing anything then you may want to up the job a little.
Cover up any a ncillaries around the area with cloths that you don’t want to get wet and liberally spray the area, you want to tackle a whole panel at a time so it dries evenly and not leave a ring of where you’ve been.
Then vacuum up. An extractor nozzle from ebay for just a few dollars can greatly suck up more liquid than a regular nozzle.
Finished, now let the seats dry out with a window open in the sun or turn the car’s AC on hot with the windows closed for half an hour and then open the doors and let any moisture disperse .

driver side
Same procedure on a Mk4 Ford Fiesta.
If you don’t have access to a wet’dry vacuum, as long as your just doing a small area, using a regular vacuum shouldn’t be an issue with regards to water getting into the vacuum, but if you don’t want to risk it, use plenty of clean dry microfibres to blot and then rub the area.

Thanks. It’s just some light staining on the outer bottom seat bolster. I’m not sure what it is, since I don’t eat in the car. I figure with a little work it’ll come right out.

If it’s definitely not food or drink then it’s most likely to be either dye transfer from trousers or urea/sweat that has soaked through the fabric of your trousers into the fabric of the seat, it’s very common if you sit in the car for long periods and is usually more pronounced in the groin area and the rearmost of the seat base .
You should in all likelihood just need to apply a little cleaner to a damp cloth and run it back and forth or with a little pressure, then do the same with a dry cloth and let it dry to see how you’ve fared.

I
t is incredibly easy to make home
made hash browns and they come out way better than store bought shredded potatoes.
Shred potatoes into a large bowl filled with cold water. Stir until water is cloudy, drain, and cover potatoes again with fresh cold water. Stir again to dissolve excess starch. Drain potatoes well, pat dry with paper towels, and squeeze out any excess moisture.
Heat clarified butter in a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Sprinkle shredded potatoes into the hot butter and season with salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and paprika.
Cook potatoes until a brown crust forms on the bottom, about 5 minutes. Continue to cook and stir until potatoes are browned all over, about 5 more minutes.

True, but these ones I bought on the way out of work, dropped in a deep fat fryer and done in three minutes.
I was hungry and in a very pissed off mood with work and the world.
