What should I know or look for? I’d *probably* prefer a pickup but Denali, yo.

Well, for starters, that isn’t a Denali.

To clarify my statement, Denali’s were solid color, no chrome bumpers . Also, they had slightly different interiors than pictured.

Like others have said, that’s not a Denali. To answer your question more generally: GMT800 trucks are stout and reliable, but any one thing can go wrong. There’s no “major” issue to look out for like on a BMW (cooling) or Lexus (air suspension) SUV. If you’re gonna go with a GM product, just make sure that there’s some semblance of maintenance records.

Figures I was looking at this Yukon and another Denali. Crossed some wires.

Hmmm, good info. Worth taking to the offer. Wonder if they dont know or it's a scam on the unknowing?

Not a good start

I mean, the price isn’t far off for a Yukon SLT. Maybe they know nothing about cars, and were convinced it was when they bought it.

The one known issue with these, is a known issue for GM products for the entire time it existed, the 4L60E transmission. Some last forever, some last 50k miles. It’s the most inconsistent transmission possibly ever.

Instrument gauge failures are pretty common on these (the stepper motors go bad after about 100,000 miles, give or take ) .

Not a Denali. Not an 03. Interior says it’s 00-02. The 03-06 SLT has a single tone leather like the 2 tone Denali. That is definitely 00-02 based on the shape of the cushions.

This definitely feels like a scam now.

Yeah, mine has 135k miles on it, but I avoid towing (other than a shed, but that's a different story) and I change the fluid and filter in it. Hopefully it lasts another 30k miles before I retire it.

Denali has the air suspension. Hard pass. We just sold one. It was basically all new, grandparents put $5000 (?!!!) into mechanic bits the last 5 years with 3k miles added. We sold it for drum roll.... $5,000... argh!!!

Dayumn. So I should be able to snag this one for like $2k then ...
