257k miles on a 2012 Raptor, and it really doesn’t look worse for the wear.

That’s about 40k worth of gas if I’m doing my math correctly. Not bad for 6 years.

257k on a R aptor in Texas in 6 years. I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that it was used by someone who worked in the oilfield. Our trucks had over 100k after less than 3 years of use.

and in that kind of usage the 6.2 is so hilariously under-stressed.

Do oil field trucks stay this clean though? I’d expect a good amount of dents and scrapes.

In 2011, some bank probably lent the OFS company $100k on it, too, based on some generic schedule of equipment purchases. That bank is now out of business.
/not even exaggerating

Yep, first thing I think of whenever I see a fuel hog with high mileage. I try to visualize the volume of gasoline or the weight of emissions. It’s quite an exercise.

Sadly that Raptor gets better mileage than my Wrangler, so I’m all too familiar with exorbitant fuel expenses.

That’s most of the high mileage vehicles on the road. Diesel big rigs, diesel heavy duty pickups, livery trucks and limos at the airport, etc. All get pretty bad mileage and drive a lot of miles.

damn. At like 10 - 15k I’d actually be tempted to take a chance on the high mileage.

It’s closer to $60k according to my math.
That’s using 15 mpg and $3.25 gas.

Yeah, I was lower on gas, but mainly I was doing it hastily on the porcelain throne so my numbers were...dirty.

Some company men had raptors, their trucks were actually pretty clean.

High mileage doesn’t scare me so I’d totally buy it, but not at $21k. Maybe 15k.
