I enjoy the process of sorting through the service receipts for a used vehicle
and reconstructing the history.

Would be really nice if service records got logged in the car’s computer, with some cryptography so you could at least tell if they had been modified (maybe an actually sensible use for a blockchain!) .
When I was buying last year in post-Harvey Houston, I felt like I couldn’t be picky about demanding records, and none of the cars I looked at had them.
The only documentation I got was a receipt for a replacement headlight sprayer cover (sold by EL_ULY!) that the seller had purchased (the headlight sprayers don’t work, and I can’t help wonder if someone disabled them to keep it from popping off again, though if they did, they didn’t do it by pulling the fuse which would be the obvious way).
Would be so nice to just be able to pull a full history on the screen.

Overdue. The ones on now are three different kinds (rear ones match) and all nearly bald.

(To be clear, this pic was from the middle of the process. Docs go up to 03/2017)
