My best friend, my right hand man, and my MVP of the day just sent me these photos of a new RAM. Take notice to the 8 lug wheels and the crazy front suspension arm setup on the last photo, zoom in on it.
Spotted at Taco Bell in Upper Sandusky Ohio. Well done Nate!
Any clues on what this is?

New Ram 2500/3500? Unless the new 1500 was released with those, I don’t know.

Nathan made comments about LED headlights being super bright as well, so possibly a all new led lighting setup as well.

I am going to pretend it's a Ram Hellcat that they are going to sell for less than $50,000. No can convince me otherwise.

New 2500/3500, likely. Front suspension looks similar to the current model:

Yeah, my first thought was that it has to be a 2500 or 3500 (I’d vote for 3500).

S uper-bright LED headlights don’t mean anything. They’re cheap and easy to install, just ask all the Jeep bros that have shitty eBay-sourced LED death rays in their JKs.

Right, just figured I’d throw that observation out there.

Autoblog had shots of the 2500/3500 a few weeks ago and I noticed that crazy speed-hole’d front suspension arm.
Its... odd.

Only difference I’m noticing is the addition of the holes in the spotted model. Any thoughts on that?

I haven’t followed the RAM lineup recently (my new job makes me soooo busy) and thought it was cool that he spotted this in a small town.
The holes in the front arm is one of the first things that caught his eye. Very curious now.

Yep. There’s been shots of the Dually a few weeks ago as well.

A new LED lighting system in the Ram might actually be nice if it’s well executed. Sorry if I sounded a bit dismissive, I was just being grumpy...

I wonder if this is possibly a new mega cab as well, as it looks to be a rather long cab . Also i f I recall correctly the first iteration of the mega cab was offered as a “heavy half” which was a 1500 but had the 8 lug suspension. Might the speed holes be for a lighter weight in a heavy half again? But to me it did sound like it was a diesel when it was idling but it was very quiet so I’m not too positive. lol

I think its the smaller Quad Cab... the camo looks like extends beyond the rear doors. The new Crew Cab is loooonnnng. Like, you don’t need a Mega Cab long.

I am wondering if this isn’t a possible mega cab? The cab looks a little long in the rear to me. In the first iteration of the mega cab it was offered in a “heavy half” which was a 1500 but with eight lug wheels. So possibly the “speed holes” are for weight reduction in order to keep the mega cab in a certain GVW bracket? Just my thoughts lol. Oh and at an idle this particular one sounded possibly diesel but it was very quiet so not positive.

You can make out coil springs on the front, but can’t see the rear. So it’s running either coil or air springs.
Will be interesting to see if the new
3500s pick up the rear suspension design from the 2500s.
