It’s Friday, the only thing that could make it better is if it was also payday.

I have to go work at one of my 3 part-time jobs at a fast food joint for 8 hours later today with a festival on in town....it’s going to be hellishly busy. :/

Actually, it would be better if it were Saturday

I'm doing alright, although that may change in a few hours. I volunteered to take my brother's kids to the beach this weekend, so I'm getting ready to embark on a 3-4 hour drive in a Fiat 500 with my girlfriend, an 8 year old, and a 12 year old. It's going to be a little cozy in there.

I’m at work, so no, it being Saturday would not make it better.

Not too bad, I’m on the early shift today, which most importantly means my weekend starts 2 hours earlier than usual.

My boss already gave me a day off after one and a half week in the new job, so quite good. I already worked enough hours this week anyways.

It’s going to be 105, it’s smoky as hell, and my wife is out of town for the weekend for a wedding. The last one means I could spend the weekend wrenching but the first two put that in question. I’m hoping for a serious break in the weather.

Decent, start of two week vacation. Going to wash the truck and go for a little road trip.

Is this some extreme litmus test to see if the girlfriend is both wife and future baby-momma material?

Got two checks from my consulting gigs in the mail yesterday that should post today ( filling that family budget hole), figured out why my new snails were acting funny (this also got my bristlenose pleco moving), and hoping to have a quiet weekend...

It’s annoying that things keep popping up making new ones . As my wife mentioned this morning, it has all been uncomfortably tight since the IRS took their big chunk (and it was already relatively tight for us due to the house) . The next big project is figuring out how to afford daycare, which is expensive, and I only have about 7 months to get that done . There are things that could be cut if it was critical (ex: retirement savings) , but we shouldn’t if we can possibly avoid it.

Neither of us are parent material. We don’t plan on having any children, so we’re trying to be more involved with our nieces and nephews.
And she's definitely wife material.

Day was good, No drama at work. Bought a 5 gallon twin stack air compressor f
or $13 AS-IS and a 7" polisher for $20 AS-IS. tested the compressor and the only thing wrong with it is a leaking fitting which will be fixed with some teflon tape.

I got locked out of my apartment at 8:00 Thursday night when my deadbolt broke off from the tailpiece (which connects it to the tumbler mechanism). I wasn’t able to get my landlord on the phone, so I spent the night at my parents’ house. Somehow I managed to take things in stride and get to work early Friday morning, wearing the same shirt (freshly washed) I’d worn the day before and the same pair of contact lenses (found a case and solution for overnight storage/cleaning). My landlord finally got a locksmith to replace the lock, and they brought my new keys to my workplace around 2 p.m. Friday. My manager was on vacation, so that was nice.
TL;DR I should have had a terrible day, but it was not bad at all.
