But I have no complaints. We closed on our new house this morning.
35 days ago we had another house under contract. It was about ready to go through. My first house went on the market. It sold in one day and we stopped taking offers after #11. Two hours after I sent an acceptance the sellers backed out. We scrambled and got a lease back agreement setup on mine. Started looking again and found the above house. Got it under contract with luckily no issues . Then we went to Alaska for 9 days.
We went hiking, took a helicopter tour and landed on a glacier, took a seaplane tour, and generally tried to relax.
Now we’re back and it’s a rush to move in the next few days. I can’t wait to get the garage sorted out because I want to do a full brake job on the V70R. Oh yeah, and we both start new jobs in the next two weeks! We also need to fit in our annual backpacking trip to our secret lake before the weather turns in the mountains. My coffee addiction has now doubled but these are all good problems to have!

Love the color on the V70!
We have been wanting to go to Alaska for a long time. Definitely on the list.

It was really fun. The not so fun part was the cruise ship involved with much of the transportation (grandma’s idea). Being stuck on a boat with shit alcohol and not much to do isn’t fun. We used damn near every minute available off-boat to hike, run, explore, and drink the local booze.

It’s called Hidden Lake and it’s not actually that secret. It’s kinda hard to get to and depending on the season the trail will disappear.
