I’ve always been a fan of the Fusion but never drove or got experience in one. Got one for my business trip this week with two coworkers. I really like it. Ended up with a hybrid, 7.5 gallons of 87 ($20 in Knoxville) got me ~ 320 miles or so, vs 250-275 MAYBE for $35 of premium in the FoST (different cars, I know but it stands). Averaging about 42 MPG even with an hour of crawling traffic in Cincinnati at the beginning.
I don’t even mind the cvt that much. If I had a second fun/project car, I wouldn’t mind this for a DD. Lots of space, and a comfortable drive/seat.

They are nice I always liked driving them when I got the chance. My only problem was I don’t fit in the back seat. I’m 6’1” and my head hit the roof in the back. Which is why we need an Estate. No more swept roof line no more rear head room problems

I had a Fusion Hybrid as a rental for 5 weeks while my STI was getting a title-issie resolved.
It was one of the most un-offending and un-exhilarating vehicles I have ever driven. As far as basic transportation goes, it’s pretty solid. And I manage to eek out over 600 miles on a tank of gas on two occasions and it was under $40 to fill it back up. You can’t beat that.
One thing that I couldn't get past was the sheer abundance of buttons and knobs on the dash and steering wheel. I forget the exact count, but it was over 70 knobs and buttons combined. I think my STI is half that.

Estate would be perfect. They’re bringing a “crossover” estate (think fusion with plastic cladding like an all road) here in a few years and I’d be good with that.

I convinced my parents to buy a Fusion hybrid 2 years ago. It’s averaged 42 mpg for the entire time. Great cars for the money imo.

Must’ve been a higher model. This ones an SE And has sync 2 and Bluetooth like the FoST and doesn’t have that many. I could see that getting annoying. I’m used to the more minimalist approach of the se

I specced out what I have rented with a lux package added in and a few goodies. MSRP is like $30k but ford has some really good incentives pushing it almost to what I paid for the FoST. If I was about where I want to be in 3-5 years (cash paid project car on the side to shift on the back roads in my free time) I’d probablt say fuck it and trade in. For where I’m at now, I love the FoST too much. If the allroadified-fusion estate really does come here, I will really have to consider it for a daily as the FoST will be paid soon.

Go look at them on dealer lots, t he deals are often hilarious. The one my parents bought was $29k msrp, they bought it for $20k.
Some used 1.6s with low miles are already under $10k.

Lol don’t tempt me. The first ST lasted me 8 months and I’ve had this one 6.5 so it’s about time apparently
