Any Oppos in the NE Ohio area looking for a cheap
set of heads for a smallblock chevy? If so, you can have these for whatever it costs you in gas to come pick them up
. They were on the 350 I bought for the short block, casting 333882 so nothing special, but they’re complete and dirty. I’ll even throw in the stock rockers and pushrods if you have use for them.
Please get these out of my garage. I have a cast iron 2bbl intake too that will probably get scrapped soon if you want that. I’m debating if these are even worth throwing on craigslist for $50 or if I’d be better off just scrapping them
. If I list them for free someone will just scrap them
anyways.

man, that hurts to see you having that hard of a time giving the stuff away. if i were close, i would give you something for them. i dont have anything to put them on, but i sure feel good having an extra set laying in a corner.
i felt bad a few months ago, cause a friend of mine was hunting cyl heads for his 350 project. i gave him one of the few usable sets i had saved, and left in the dirt to work with. he changes his mind halfway through the project and puts on some aluminium ones. i was going to ask him about the ones i had gave him, but about that time i seen the trashcan in the garage about half full of the other misc. bits that were on the block that i had sold him. all the bits he said that he needed, fuel pump cover/line ,timing cover, clutch ball, metal,intake neck, fixed mechanical fan,dipstick ...... all the stuff that is a pain to track down, because he bought new chinaman chrome versions of the stuff, that leak........ makes me have a hard time giving things away to people, thinking “they just gonna throw it away anyhow”...........
its a nice thing youre doing........

I can’t bring myself to throw much anything away unless it’s truly trash (like the bent up flex fan I took off this engine). Someone’s got to be looking for a cheap set of heads just to get something on the road. Like you said - I’m sure someone would pick it up for free to the masses, but they’re just going to scrap it for a couple bucks. The little odds and ends are really what gets you with something like this!
I wish I had room to let them sit around; short of building a shelf in the shed (not out of the question entirely, but not anytime soon) I really don’t have anywhere to stash them away - especially low compression smog heads. At least the valves aren’t tiny.
