I’m pretty sure a celebrity guy
sitting that close to a female is illegal now.

I know not everyone like Jay, but he's a true car guy. Always like watching his channel because his enthusiasm is infectious.

Overall, the woman in the episode said it was a great experience filming with him. I’m sitting down to watch the episode later tonight. I’m super curious how the show goes. I also can’t wait for the value bump for my own AZ-1 as they become more and more mainstream aware.

Which is unfair anyway, Jeff Zucker was always the real villain.

Regardless of how Jay Leno was in the Tonight show and his dealings with the whole Conan fiasco, I just love how much he care s about cars and motorcycles.
He isn’t some pompous rich brand snob either. Yes he has a fleet of Lambos, has a McLaren F1, and all sorts of amazing exotica.
But he spends as much attention and care with more regular cars & bikes, such as his Honda S600.

that is a very long video that was not very informative.
just google image search a pic of an AZ-1 and read the wiki article. It’s better than this video

I learned that she doesn’t know if its Disc/Drum or Disc/Disc yet does her own maintenance .....

Which means she changes her own oil and hasn’t had to touch the brakes yet.
It’s not that weird, especially if she hasn’t owned the car for very long.

yeah, although does appear to be pretty deep into the car, but perhaps hasn’t done brakes as yet

She’s had it for several years. Bought it in Japan while living there , tracked it a bunch of time, imported it back to the US, tracked it here.... I’m sure the brakes have been at least LOOKED at before/after a track day.

She’s done several track days and no brake inspection?

Fair point.
Doesn’t mean she doesn’t do her own maintenance though. E
ven if she has replaced her own brake pads, maybe she was just too nervous around TV cameras and Leno to remember on the spot.

He also drives his damn cars. I’ve watched his videos on his Ford GT and Mclaren MP4, and both cars he put almost 2,000 miles on them over a weekend.

I can confirm mine has solid rotors front and back. They are the same diameter front to back too. Cute little buggers. They are the dreaded pressed on rotors too, so you have to split the wheel bearing to get them apart.

I know there’s at least one in the Dayton area. I saw it at the C&C at Austin Landing earlier this summer.

Not the fact that it uses solid rotors - the fact they are pressed on and require cutting a bearing to replace.

Ahh. Yeah they are not that great, luckily the wheel bearings seem to be pretty decent. I’m going to look into a rumor I heard a while back about being able to swap suzuki swift knuckles and brakes to get larger, vented rotors, and a better wheel bearing setup.
