I just discovered that I you can fold the rear seats on the Rabbit Cabriolet. I did not expect this at all. Sorry about the terrible photo. Also my spare is a GTI snowflake, which makes me sad that I don’t have 4 more of them.
The opening is only about 8-9” tall but it still gives the car a lot more “trunk space”. I’ve just been throwing bigger stuff in the back seat when top is down, which is 95% of the time. What you see in the trunk is my 41” long board which was pretty hard to get into the trunk. Now it’ll be a price of cake!

There was a guy driving a first gen Gti on what must have been 5" wide wheels around town. He was absolutely flying, exhaust blaring, tires giving it their all until inevitably losing rubber around each turn....
Made me think of your new convertible!
I like cars: Jim Spanfeller is one ugly motherfucker

I have a bit chunkier tires but I’ve been giving this car hell. Using All 80ish HP.

Open Oppo and see headline starting with “I high centered my...”. First thought, that would make sense for why the quota of Rabbit posts wasn’t maintained. Oh, second down, firs t was a Miata.

Some one said this about their Ford Focus the other month. They didn’t know the rear of the seat came down.
Is this an American thing?
It’s pretty much standard on the majority of cars in Europe and people tend to know it does by the presence of the push button or knob pull near the C pillars on the side of the seat backs.
I’m waiting for someone to notice that on many cars there is a plastic hook on the underside of the rear parcel shelf for holding the boot floor up so you can get the spare tyre and tools out. It’d blow their minds.

I just didn’t expect t because this car is a convertible, it’s 34 years old, u and it was a basic economy car. I had assumed that there was an actual rear bulkhead for chassis stiffening.
Also I’ve blown a few peoples minds with that load floor hanger thing.
