I’m at a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. Marshall Tucker just opened. Now I ask you Oppo, why the shit would someone bring a baby here?

Probably because they couldn't find a sitter. I approve of the earmuffs and their efforts to not let their children ruin their fun times.

I mean when that kid is 20 years old they can say they saw Sky ny rd.

I remember when you could still smoke indoors in Pennsylvania, and some friends and coworkers and I used to do midnight bowling on Fridays and have some cigars and drinks.
One time, I looked over to the lane next to me and this couple had a newborn infant, I mean, practically just out of the hospital - in a poorly ventilated bowling alley filled with cigar and cigarette smoke and loud music thumping, and some drunk people staggering around here and there. It kind of killed the vibe, really, I don’t want to have to think about a child’s wellbeing while I’m trying to enjoy myself.

Oye.
I can't even.

They already left, so much for that.

Can't argue that logic.

Because otherwise these kids will grow up listening to Taylor Swift?

We took our 8 month old to Kid Rock and Cheryl Crow 6 years ago. She didn’t see much of kid rock as she fell asleep.
We were in the lawn area though. Not as close as that.

He had to hear Simple Man and then leave.

Ooh, that smell. Can’t you smell that smell?
The smell of poo surrounds you.

A Skynyrd cover band.

Oh well not worth it then.

Nice!
I smell cherry vape and weed ... I'd rather smell baby poop.

I mean, from a legal standpoint, it is Lynyrd Skynyrd. But the best parts of Skynyrd died in 1977. The band name should have died then too.

Irrelevant h ot take: Marshall Tucker is better than Skynyrd.

Come to my place, an d you can smell all 3!

They didn't make it. They gone, Skynyrd hasn't even started yet.

I swear if I have to hear Shake it Off one more time, I'm gonna burn the building down

I'm a fan of Marshall Tucker, but they were kinda sloppy live. Plus, how many people can name more than three of their songs?

They must be traveling on now
There’s so many cribs that they’ve got to see

I personally think Skynyrd has a series of home-runs , but almost everything past those gets a little weak. I think Marshall Tucker has a couple of really great songs, and the rest of their stuff is good, if not exceptional.

At least the kid has earmuffs. Last week in Oshk osh I saw kids that age without muffs during the air show.
With jets doing flybys on afterburner.

I had that happen, but my son was 4 at the time. Sitter cancelled, and it was easier to buy another ticket. Granted, Amos Lee is a pretty mellow concert.

Yeah, the kid was totally fine. I just don't understand why you would bring a kid. How the hell can you enjoy a concert while trying to take care of a baby?

Hard pass!

Most of my f avorite Skynyrd songs are the deeper cuts. Sweet Home Alabama doesn’t even make my top 10.
Marshall Tucker's non-hits just feel like more of the same.

Perhaps the parents are followers of the Rolf-Mannheim school of liberation theory child- rearing. Next they will drop the child off in a neighborhood park in Newark so the child can absorb the nuances of street-level heroin merchandising.

The kids gotta learn a trade somehow.
