Come drive in WI once. Nothing in this video even phases me after the crap I see here daily.
It still amazes me how terrible most people drive.

Having a fair amount of combative experience behind the wheel I hold the section of freeway between the WI border and Chicago in high regard for both average speed of slow lane and aggressive tactics displayed. Special award goes to people watching and number of over the counter pills on offer (presumably to sustain this highwire act behind the wheel) at single destination exits to gas stations.

TIL my headlights and taillights flash under hard braking. Either that or they reacted to the overpass. In a day of shit driving, this one was the most memorable either way:
Newish truck of some manner came off a cloverleaf onto a highway going about 20MPH. I change into his lane going about 60 assuming he’ll merge onto the highway and be someone else’s problem. NOPE! He was, apparently, continuing on the cloverleaf. Brake brake brake brake... (Doesn’t look very dramatic in the video, but you know how that goes)
He then flipped out inside the cab because my headlights flashed.
Good times.

You really need to take like a year or two of remedial defensive driving courses, because I don’t know how you haven’t been involved in a ton of accidents. Sure, people are stupid, but you’re responsible for you.

The van merging at 30mph looked absolutely loaded down, the power to weight ratio may have prevented it from accelerating any faster.

I’m pretty sure they just reacted to the overpass. I don’t think DOT allows for that in the states.

I’m curious as to why you think that?

I reviewing the footage I could believe that. Allegedly I have an "extra" set of brake lights that illuminate only under hard braking.

So, when I lived in south BA and had to regularly make the BA eastbound to 169 south interchange, and because I really didn’t like the prospect of standing still, in line, on the highway, with cars going by at 70+, I’d join southbound traffic by way of 3 loops on the cloverleaf (2 wrongs don’t make a right, but 3 lefts do!).
I can assure you I was never going 20 mph...

Watching many of the evasive maneuvers
, I’d say the driver has been quite suc
cessful at being both defensive and conservative. As less defensive driver probably would have collided with many of these dummies.

As long as that on ramp was, it had to be running extremely poorly not to get up past 30 mph, even with a full load.

I think you’re mistaking him for that other guy (with a yellow Jeep) who basically narrates every slow motion (avoidable) collision.

This looks like what kind of shit you would normally see on an average day in LA. It’s even better if you ride in an Uber, oftentimes you get to be in the shitty driving vehicle instead haha. That one guy pulling out and forcing a slalom in the middle of the road was the most egregious though. That was what convinced me that okay you have a point, people suck.
Around 6:00 though there was a yellow light you stopped at and the bus egregiously ran the red. Stopping there would 100% get you rear ended in this area since 4 more cars would have expected to go through along with the bus. I hate that the most about driving here, I don't understand why people think it's worth running the light.

Under emergency braking my brake lights flash a few flash, then go constant as per the norm and the hazard lights flash.
Other VASG cars and Volvos do the same.

No, I watched this video and have seen others of his. Bad, bad stuff. Just look at it. If he’s good for Omaha (which apparently has really shitty drivers), I can’t fathom bad. What kind of idiot drives aggressively around someone that is clearly an idiot?

I was thinking that Omaha really isn’t
that bad.... But then I watched the vid and have seen my own examples of every single scenario.
But the most common stupid driver thing I see? People merging onto I-680 without looking if they have room until their lane is disappearing.

I know what you mean from my brief time driving in LA, it’s nuts.
I actually wasn’t driving in any of the clips in Portland, my friend was. That little bit of audio muted just before the bus blew the light was me making a less than polite remark when she all but choked me with the seat
belt with that hard stop.

I’ll be the first to admit that if you go back to some of my older videos, there’s plenty of stuff I did that I shouldn’t have. I’d like to think I’ve learned and mellowed, but I can always improve, so like I said if you’ve got any specific feedback form this video please let me know.
