"NKato" (NKato)

I’m working on the PB400's silver paint. So I put on the clear coat. First two, three layers go just fine. Then suddenly, the last layer starts getting mottled spots and cloudiness in spots, not to mention runny. I’m gonna need a bit of help, y’all.
So...not sure what to do. I’ve got 2000 grit sandpaper on hand, but Google has not really inspired confidence in me on what to do if I’m trying to fix the clear coat.
Essentially, I want to remove the top layer and then buff/polish any other inconsistencies, if at all possible. And I’d like to know what tools I’m going to need.

Welp, screw it. I’m masking off the parts that turned out OK, and then redoing the surfaces that got screwed. Going to sand off the silver on the front, then reapply the base coat and clear coat. Uck.

Cutting and buffing is probably the fix. That sounds like a lot of layers of clear, and that could be where the problem was.

Ive don't exactly the same thing on my front fenders, leave it to hardern for a while, flat it back with 2000 or painters compound and re spray, even 800 or 1000 grit will do in a pinch.

If you have runs, you may need to level it out with something a bit more aggressive than 2000 grit. But try the least aggressive first, and go from there. A grinder with a wool polishing wheel will cut the sanding marks out in no time, but it makes a mess with slinging polish all over. And you have to keep the wheel moving so you don’t burn through the paint. HF has a good polisher and wool pads that work really well and it’s cheap.

Actually I’ve been thinking about it and I think the REAL solution is THIS:
