If I drove a car that looks like a dog hunched over l ike it’s about to take a shit I, too, would be cross and full of ire.

If I drove a Crossfire, I would set myself on fire probably.

What’s wrong with crossfire’s? They’re like horrible little TVR’s, which is still good

TVRs have a bit of style and aggression and are nicely proportioned; this does not, although the convertible does look a but better. The Cross ire is also based on the original SLK chassis which makes for a vehicle that has the wonderful combination of being uninspiring to drive and expensive to repair.
I test drove an SLK when they came out with a manual transmission version and found it to be a complete snooze, being only good for posing and offered nothing to anyone that gave a damn about driving . I hated it and chose an older 968 instead.

I like the Crossfire. I did not know a manual was available until they were out of production.

Crossfire: imported from Detroit. That about sums it up I think.

I think a tuned crossfire can be good. And don’t test me, I swear to god I’ll become oppo’s resident crossfire guy in 4 years

Crap Mercedes, only good for poseurs. Perfect for sorority girls upgrading from their triple white VW Cabriolet after graduation, or middle-aged divorcees on the prowl.

I’ve not heard a more appropriate analogy of the Crossfire's design.

I have an unfortunate soft spot for Cross ires . I didn’t see American cars growing up so I always viewed the like 4 models that were sold in the country as something special. T his, the Grand Voyager, and a few Jeeps.
I don’t think I’ve seen one in years :c

I’m assuming “Detroit” is another name for “Osnabrü ck”?

And the interior looked like it was made from the casings of off-brand consumer electronics. Because you want your dashboard to look like a genuine Pinnacle DVD/VCR Combo or Summit LCD TV.

968s can be awesome.
O ne of the British car magazines or Road & Track raved over the 968 Club Sport and said that it handled perfectly for a street car.

Meh. I like them. They look good and the design has aged well.

I’m glad silver center consoles only lasted a few years.
