The lake looks beautiful. We have had what seems like months of rain, so the Potomac is kinda muddy. It was also 92 degrees without a single breath of wind. I about cooked my eggs out there.

Thanks it’s a great place. Water is quite clear most of the time. I’m sure it will be busy this weekend, being 90F and sunny both days, plus 4th of july is always a little extra nuts. So far this year it’s been quiet, this is kind of the beginning of Peak Season, which lasts about 6-8 weeks.
It may be hot on the water, but it’s always cooler than on land! Either jump in or keep moving, or both!

They’re great, and they are so gentle with the kids. That was a huge point for us. We feel like they’re much smarter than the average Golden, but they get a lot of their temperament. And there’s real thing to the mixed breeds getting very few of the typical issues seen by either purebred variety. Not black and white, but the F1's (e.g. golden to poodle) tend to be very healthy.

My parents have an F1B labradoodle, she’s 12. She’s had some health issues , but she’s still pretty good. Very very sweet.

Swimming in the Potomac downstream of DC is a bit more than I am up for. Especially after a ton of rain. It’s actually pretty clean, but it still freaks me out. The 4th here is crazy, but the fireworks show isn’t bad, and it’s really nice from a boat. All I hav e to do is leave my marina, as head out about 5 00 feet from the entrance and they are right overhead. We have had a slow start to the season because of all the rain, but its definitely summer now.
I am headed to a lake in Maine in a few weeks for 10 days with my son. Rented a little 16 foot tin boat, should be a blast. Will be nice to be on some clean water. Have fun and be safe!
