On my Ford Ranger the parking brake wouldn’t hold the truck anymore even at full engagement. So I brought in to the shop had them adjust the parking brakes, flush the brake fluid and change the fuel filter. Now the parking brake is better then new.

I could be wrong but I don't think I am. The brake fluid has nothing to do with the parking brake. The parking brake is adjusted with a star wheel in the drum. I bet the fluid was sure for a flush anyway. O know it's on my to do list

It was a separate maintenance item. First time it was done since I bought it in 2010.

Recently did new rotors and pads all around with front calipers. Had to loosen the parking brake to get the rotors off and redid them after. SUCH a huge difference! Had to be at the top most click before and now it’s where it should be. Love not worrying about my car rolling away

rear drums or discs? My Ranger has rear discs and the parking brake is borderline useless.

I think he's just saying he did a bunch of little things while they were also fixing the parking cable.
