A Suzuki Carry! Most of the JDM vehicles y’all fawn over, don’t really do much for me. However, I very much have a thing for Kei trucks. I saw a family using one instead of a golf cart at Road America this weekend. I was very jelly.

Seems like a reasonable alternative to something like a Gator.

Yep. Fully enclosed can and AC would make it a pretty swanky work vehicle.

My university has some kei trucks in use by the facilities and maintenance folks, too. I’d like to drive them sometime.

I’ve always thought that one of these with a shifter kart in the back would be a sweet package.

My university has some similar type trucks. I’ll have to take a picture of them to see if y’all can figure out what they are.

There are a number of them running around where I live in Nova Scotia that have been imported! :)
Saw a 1993 or so Suzuki Carry in Bridgewater today custom-painted in flat army green with a US Army star on the doors (not sure why the star seeing as we’re in Canada, but whatever, haha!) Didn’t get a chance to get a pic though and wasn’t in my car, so no dashcam pic either (was on a school bus on an end-of-year field trip with some kids!)
Saw this little guy back on June 8th though! Slightly older Suzuki Carry with flood bar
! :)

And if you live in a state like I do they are 100% road legal everywhere except interstates.

I prefer the “deck van” body style -

Cool, but the trucks are where it's at for me.

Was close to crashing with one of those yesterday. I was driving a Smart Fortwo, so that could’ve been a funny one.
There were two garderners coming quickly down a two way street where only one car fits due to parked cars. The parked cars also made sure that I di dn ’t see them before they were like 5 metres away..

That would have been an adorable accident scene :)

I really wanted a deck van for a service vehicle when I was at COTA. The rear bed was the right size for the the stuff I carried around all the time that wasn’t weather sensitive and then the rear seat folded down perfectly flat to carry all the electronic equipment around that didn’t do so well in the rain.
Also, it was air conditioned :)
There’ s an importer in Arkansas that has a baby bucket truck that would have also been perfect.
