Beautiful, sunny, 70 degree day all across South Dakota! Just a little rain between Huron and Brookings. I just want to spend a week in the Black hills and the Badlands now. Oh, and sport mode on the monster + the Black hills = holy shit that was fucking awesome! It’s not bike week so the place was basically deserted. Photo dump!

That’s a pretty amazing area. South Dakota gets its reputation from the plains part but people seem to forget how awesome the western side is.

Absolutely right. I need to spend a couple weeks living off the bike in the western half. Right now, because of record rain, the whole state is green instead of dead brown! It's amazing!

Do it! And just you wait, I'm only a third of the way into this trip! Beautiful scenery and fun roads are only part of it all. You meet some great people on a motorcycle and have some gear conversations with them.

That view in New England would include 3 states. No really, I mean, from the mountains in north-central NH you can easily see into VT and ME.
I love the west, and can’t wait to take my kids out there.

I know, I have lived in the tri-state area(ok not quite but 20 mins from the Jersey border in PA) haha. Unless I was driving straight across PA to Pittsburgh or something a drive of any decent length basically included at least three states.
I’m not back on the west and never moving away again.
