I’ve had Skunk for just over 9 years. He’s been a little under the weather lately but took a rapid turn for the worse this morning. My heart is broken.
Give your guys a hug and some extra treats for us today, ok?

I’ve never had a pet, but I totally understand how people get attached - I lived with a roommate’s dog for a while and came to really enjoy its company.
Regardless of the animal, I understand the emotional connection - I hope Skunk is alright.

S ympathies. A sick pet is a very big emotional blow after years of good times. Pets are a little like comets: amazing, bright, but always gone too quick.

I’m so sorry to hear that. A few years ago one of our cats seemed to be feeling bad and when we took him in we discovered that he was in stage 4 renal failure. With some good care and lots of love and luck we were able to give him another year of life. I hope Skunk pulls out of it. Best of luck to you both. We’ll be thinking about you.

Hopefully he feels better or at least comfortable. A visit to the vet with some sub q fluid and a bit of vitamin b might help perk him up
