I’m getting some more work done to the TSX tomorrow, and I’ll again have a loaner for a few hours. Last time I got a new TLX and was thoroughly disappointed. Maybe they’ll give me something different this time. So what will I get?

1. The same TLX as before (pictured above)

2. A different TLX

3. An ILX

4. An RDX

5. Another Acura

6. Something that isn’t an Acura

The luxury dealers are a lot more subtle. This is the maximum I have seen personally but I’m sure there a re offenders in this space as well

Yeah. The TLX I had last time was a V6 FWD, and I think it was just the base package, which still had quite a few goodies.

There will be some sort of mixup and the only car they have around is a Gen 1 NSX. And since it gets “poor gas mileage” they feel bad and pay for your gas for the week. At least that’s what you can dream of while you are in an Accord with non-working AC instead.

When I used to give my AMG for service, I used to get a E class.

One fine oc casion, they gave me an E350 coupe and the car was dirty inside (dog / cat hair) and out.

I refu sed it. A nd raised hell. They immediately put me in a S class.

That seems to be the popular choice. I actually want to check one out since it’s probably closer to the TSX than the TLX was.

There’s a Hyundai dealer that does this with every car they sell; I think it’s because you get free oil changes if you have the banner on your window. Very smart concept, especially if you don’t plan on moving somewhere anytime soon.

Whatever you get, it can’t be worse than the Dodge Avenger my Dad has to roll around in. Siad he’s getting sick of his dealer jerkin’ him around on loaners and wants an SRT8 next time. A car that’ll probably kill him, but he has a point.
