Yes and no. I owned one for a few years: the stock 12 0hp is plenty in a car of this weight and wheelbase, and the 180hp or so you can get just by turning the boost up (which takes 2 minutes) is way too much for the chassis
Also: See how low profile the rubber on that thing was? That’s coz the 5’s wheel arches are only just barely big enough for the original 195/55 13s. Brakes were a major limiting factor on these originally - to get enough brake to stop it and enough rubber to put down some of the power they’ve had to go to impractically big wheels and rubber bands, and I bet they limited bump travel and lock too, which’ll make the handling even more interesting
Plus these things are made of tinfoil - you REALLY don’t want to crash one.
Sounds good though, I’ll give them that. Though the anticipatory whistle which announced an impending whack of boost was one of the most fun bits of the original.
