Unfortunately I only got 3rd in my class today thanks to NASA classing instead of SCCA. Oh well, I’ll be back out there tomorrow.

I’m halfway through a two day event myself. Despite hot conditions, I’m first in my class for the first time! I’m also last. Typically there are 3 to 7 cars in my class, so this is unusual. Tomorrow will be like a tes t and tune for me, as I moved my rear sway bar to full stiff as heat has caused to o much understeer (and I was over driving the tires, too).

The odd vehicles of autocross is by far my favorite part of the events. People who show up with "class prepped race cars" I never quite get the point. But showing up in a rental car and beating the hell out of it? Or just any car they happen to have, I absolutely love it. I always think there should specifically be a "rental car class" where everyone goes for lowest tier and see who wins.
