They don’t make’em like they used to.
Note the precision parking - hub cap badges near vertical.

Nice, as this is a cabrio rather than a Speedster, it is most likely a real one, not many fake cabrios out there.

Knowing that most of the speedsters out there are fakes I mostly ignored this one I saw streetparked downtown a couple weeks ago and only snapped a few grainy film photos. It said Carrera on the decklid which makes it even more suspect, but I will say it had a sebring exhaust and sounded THE BUSINESS.... like potentially 4 cam business. What are the odds I actually stumbled across a real one? It’s not track season yet here in Saratoga, but with an auto museum and enough rich folks nearby I suppose there could be a chance

Maybe one with a 912 engine? Or maybe real? One of these would kind of be a funny “undercover” classic, like a Cobra, as everyone will assume it is a replica.

I hadn’t thought of a 912 engine, hmm. Either way it was driven by a woman not too much older than myself, with an expensive looking dress and a baseball cap and big sunglasses. Whether she was famous or just wanting to look famous I wouldn’t know.
