How do I know its been exactly a year since I got my truck?
All my SiriusXM presets defaulted to Channel 1, LUL
Because my 12mo free SiriusXm subscription ended today :(
Oh well, back to streaming music from my phone, which I like better anyways.
The only time SXM was of any use was to remind me “Ooh! That’s a good song I had forgotten about. I should download that to my phone”.

It’s amazing it shut off promptly. I’ve seen several devices continue to get radio long after they were supposed to have been shut off.

If SXM were a lover that you broke up with, they’re the kind that shows up at midnight begging you to take them back, or leaving vaguely threatening notes in your mailbox.
All this, and I never once subscribed to SXM; i just bought a car that had a Sirius radio installed. I’m still not sure how they got my information.

I was getting TWO EMAILS PER DAY for the past 3 months....
Thankfully I signed up with my work e-mail so they don’t bug me after hours.

It gets worse if you actually do take them back for any length of time.
(Source: I took that $25 for 3 months deal. Bad idea. Turned out that even though I thought I might use it (was roadtripping a lot at that time) , I didn’t actually use it much even. )

The dealer/manufacturer forwards it to them to set up your “ free” subscription account, then they go crazy trying to get you to sign up. They called and mailed me a lot, but I explained to one of their hard selling people that I live in Western Washington and it’s useless here. They were like, “we have a lot of subscribers there!”, then I explained that there are few places where I lived at the time that could get a consistent signal due to trees including our major highway and that it’s an hour and a half to the nearest freeway... If I lived in the midwest or desert southwest and drove a lot , they could probably make a compelling case, but I don’t.
