yeah, its not cosmetically pleasing but its 100% functional and 100% free! I was on the forum talking about my cooling problems and another local 80 owner chimed in saying he bought a rad from prime, but it came this way, they sent him a new one but told him he didn’t need to send back the old one. So he gave this one to me. Lovely! its not perfect but the core is damage free and it holds pressure. bend the frame back and im in business! sweet!

there was a couple in indiana who took advantage of amazons return policy and it landed them in jail lol.
i kinda figured they would have changed their return policy by now

I can’t speak to the guys character, but I don’t have any reason to suspect he’s trying to pull a fast one. I think this is more bank error in your favor kind of deal.

oh yeah im not saying hes into anything nefarious, especially since he gave it to you for free and it actually was damaged. i was just saying that amazons return policy can bite them in the ass when it comes to criminals lol

Walmart too. I’ve never understood the idea of pulling this just because you could. I mean I use to take advantage of REI’s GENEROUS return policy (before they changed it) but the things I returned were broken and it was their policy to replace so...why not? I used to know people who needed a bike short term so they would just buy from walmart and return it after YEARS of use. a little scummy if you ask me.

This kind of thing is totally not unheard of with shipping damage.
I had a stack of new (but damaged) body panels that I refused. Called up to start a claim and they said send pics but keep them all.

we used to see a lot of people at best buy who would buy giant TVs for the superbowl then return them the monday after the game just because they could. that stopped once best buy started charging restocking fees on open items lol
