What is the best glue to use if I want to glue a friends couch to their ceiling?

What’s the best epoxy to attach a pulley to the crank on a scooter?

Looks like pg. 119 has the maintenance and repair epoxies. Strongest thing in the book appears to be Loctite Fixmaster Superior Metal, at 18,000psi compressive strength. The tensile is only 5,500psi, but if your shear area minimum is on, say, a 3/4 shaft with a 1" contact length, that’s 2,500lb in shear. Enough for transmitting 75 lb-ft of torque, anyway. No way a scooter motor makes that much, I don’t think.

Funny enough, Loctite sleeve repair is stronger than that, IIRC. You just have to be filling a very small distance between the two.

Hey, you asked the question.

That might be Loctite two-part H4800. High peel resistance, 3000 psi shear strength. If I’m reading how peel strength works properly, it ought to be able to hold about 83lb at each foot if the foot’s about an inch square.

Of course, it would be best to put a flat fastener through the drywall first. The Loctite JUST MIGHT be stronger than the drywall.
