I’m lucky to have friends on Oppo that helped me through the process of checking out and buying my new car and will help me enjoy it too ;)

Shout out to G_Body_Man and El_Uly! Couldn’t have done this without you :)

I drove it for a little bit. I’m now tired of smiling.

Congrats! I loved my E39, and I can only imagine how much better they are with 200 more HP. At least at the time I owned mine a couple of years ago, Ebay (of all places) was a fantastic source of OEM parts and really, really good prices. There were a group of sellers out of Florida that seemed to have bought up large quantities of BMW parts from that era and were unloading via ebay. It was the place to get things like the cowl and all the many little rubber bits that had degraded with age.

Looks like it! I’ve got a bead on an excellent E30 M3 with 64k miles but sadly since first talking to the owners several years ago the car has almost doubled in value. You got into an E39 at the right time! Those are going to skyrocket in the next 10 years. Or so my crystal balls tells me.

I did a full detail last year with claybar, 2 stage polish with a rupes polisher and then some Soft99 synthetic wax. Top off with meguirs quick wax evry wash. But swirls are really easy to spot, it’s almost as bad as black paint
