Just getting started with my Father’s Day gift. Only 4.67 boxes left to go. I’m committed to only work on this one when one or more of my boys is helping, so it may be a while. My 5 year old is really good and can do most of the steps relatively unsupervised, but my 4 year old is still in need of assistance. And my 2 year old, well that’s a whole other thing. But I’ve found as long as they get to put together even one piece, they will look back and say they helped me build it. That’s worth everything to me.

I really like the technicality of this set compared to the GT3, however, I dont like the Chiron.

This was my Father’s Day Lego set. Kind of pales in comparison. Neat that you’re doing it with your kids. Have fun!

I’m more a fan of the GT3 as well, but I couldn’t pass it up. And when it comes down to it, the time spent with the boys is well worth it.

It’s all relative. My wife has indulged my LEGO sickness for a while now. And it makes for good bonding time with my boys too. Where a smaller kit will buy me a few hours, one of these will take weeks to work through. Then it’s awesome when they talk about how they helped build the kit.
